Kode With Klossy is a community centered around learning experiences at the intersection of technology & creativity.
Kode With Klossy’s flagship camps provides the opportunity for young women and gender expansive youth, ages 13-18, to attend free two week bootcamps that introduce them to key computer science concepts and skills. Scholars collaborate to explore the limitless potential of code and computer science.
Scholars will learn one of our best-in-class curricula:
01
ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE & MACHINE LEARNING
Artificial Intelligence plays a crucial role in today's technology and is an integral part of our daily lives. This program empowers scholars with the knowledge to understand the fundamentals of AI while equipping them with the context to address bias as they progress in their tech careers. Scholars have hands-on experience designing image classifiers and training machine learning models using the CreateML framework.
02
WEBSITE DEVELOPMENT
What does it take to build a website? This curriculum is focused on building dynamic websites using 3 programming languages: JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. Scholars also learn the importance of responsive design, accessibility, and how to improve the UI (user interface) and UX (user experience) of a website.
03
DATA SCIENCE
Data is all around us. In this curriculum, scholars examine data and draw meaningful insights through the use of SQL, Python, and data visualization tools. By the end of camp, scholars will build a visualization of a topic they are passionate about using data.
04
BEYOND CODING
Scholars will also have the opportunity to hear from inspiring speakers at every intersection of technology. From CEOs to astronauts to grad students to entrepreneurs, speakers join camps to share their stories, and to show the vast possibilities that exist for tech.
In addition to coding, scholars engage in conversations around the Culture of Technology. These sessions prompt participants to consider what tech looks like now, providing real-world context to the status quo of STEAM, business and beyond, and challenges them to picture a better future.
While they're also completing a rigorous, immersive curriculum, they also experience the whimsy of camp magic through Brain Breaks, photo challenges, and other community building activities.
